More than a coach, Bob is a mentor and steady presence for the whole 1UP Robot Team — the foundation everyone else is built on.

Bob’s own story is one of reinvention: a champion who could have stopped once his playing days ended, but instead chose to pour everything he learned into building others up. He holds the team to a high standard not because he doubts them, but because he’s already seen what they’re capable of.

That standard runs through every session he runs and every conversation he has. Excellence isn’t a trophy to Bob — it’s the daily decision to turn up, tell the truth, and push the person next to you one step further than they thought they could go. Integrity is what keeps that push honest: the standard applies to everyone, coach included, and the feedback is always in service of the player, never the ego of the coach.
