Our Story

Founded in November 2024, 1UP Esports Academy was built on a belief that competitive gaming should be for everyone, regardless of disability or ability. We saw a gap that needed closing. Esports was growing fast, but the scene wasn't accessible to all. 1UP was created to change that by opening the doors of competitive gaming to players who had been overlooked, and to build a community where everyone has the chance to compete on equal terms.

Today, 1UP Esports Academy is on a mission to become the go-to destination for inclusive competitive gaming in the UK. Whether you're picking up a controller for the first time or looking to prove yourself in a structured tournament environment, we provide the platform for every player to level up on their own terms.
